Burst onto the scene in his 20s
Does a 31‑year‑old get better with age? Fans believe Bad Bunny does.
After a victorious night at the 2026 Grammys, where the Puerto Rican star took home the coveted Album of the Year award, and with the Super Bowl halftime show looming, the Latin superstar is showing a side of himself the world hasn’t fully seen before.
“I desperately need to know wich [sic] God Bad Bunny prayed to manifest something like this,” one fan wrote online, capturing the amazement of thousands. Another chimed in: “Nah, Bad Bunny’s transformation is immaculate. Wow.”

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a decade since Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — better known as Bad Bunny — burst onto the scene in his 20s.
Back then, the Puerto Rican rapper sported buzzcuts and flashy outfits, standing out for his bold, experimental style.
At the 2026 Grammys, the 31-year-old star exuded charm and charisma in a black velvet suit, his beard perfectly groomed.
Bad Bunny’s approach to fashion has always been intentional.
“The eye represents many things,” Bad Bunny explained back in 2018, after showing up to the American Music Awards with a third eye painted on his forehead.
“Power, trusting yourself, seeing things that others don’t see and don’t understand, both in the world and in yourself, and most of all always having the vision to move forward, grow, and improve.”
The musician shared that his passion for fashion has always been part of him, noting that trips shopping with his mother played a big role in shaping his unique style.

In 2022, he stunned on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar in a white bridal-inspired gown and blazer. He then told the readers about why he follows his own path.
”I’m taking advantage of this moment in my life when I can do whatever I want and wear what I want,” the then 28-year-old explained, ”so I get to live life more authentically.”
He added, “I don’t do it to become more famous or to call attention or to disrespect anyone. People on the outside can think that I have a strategy or I wear this to call for
In 2019, the superstar told Billboard, “My style influences what my music is and everything that surrounds me within it… Everyone must dress, and use their creativity, express themselves in that way, their feelings, their way of thinking. Everyone must be free in that area and let the mind flow.”

But beyond his striking wardrobe choices, fans have been speculating that cosmetic surgery might have contributed to his transformed appearance.
“The way Bad Bunny got all that surgery and look completely different? Money well spent, though. He looks amazing,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “He has definitely had work done. And that’s okay.”
“U can tell he had it all done: nose, lips, tan, eye brows, teeth, chin, jawbone, cheeks, etc. just sad,” another wrote.
”Rhinoplasty, buccal fat removal, facial fat grafting, chin reconstruction + implant, jaw reconstruction, veneers, gum reconstruction, a belly button tightening and his fans say it was just weight loss,” another chimed in.
At the same time, many fans came to Bad Bunny’s defense:
“It’s called maturing and embracing who you are. may I remind you that 2016 reggaeton scene BEGGED for artists to be light skinned. Also, the music is really fucking good so stay mad hoe,” one fan wrote.
