Princess Eugenie has announced the name of her daughter, two weeks after she gave birth to her third child.
Sharing the name reveal on social media, Eugenie announced that she has given her daughter the middle name of Elizabeth, in a tribute to her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Eugenie has joined a long line of royals who have named their daughters after the late Queen, as the royal tradition honours the lasting legacy of Britain’s longest reigning monarch. At the time of her death in 2022, the Queen had eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with most of the girls being named after Her Majesty in some capacity.
