University of Arizona head women’s basketball coach Becky Burke is supposed to be enjoying her latest announcement. However, social media has turned it into something disgusting.
Burke and her wife, Savannah, announced that they are expecting their second child. Becky announced in a June 8 post on X that her wife was pregnant.
“Burke family update,” she wrote. “Baby girl coming December, 2026!”

Her post triggered a ton of negative vitriol, one in particular by a woman who wants to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges. That was the landmark 2015 Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage nationwide.
