13 Country Artists Who Should Totally Play at Taylor Swift’s Wedding Read More: 13 Country Artists Who Should Play at Taylor Swift’s Wedding

Taylor Swift broke the internet (again) when she announced she and Travis Kelce are getting married!

The world watched as she kissed frog after frog before finally finding her prince. Now the two will be walking down the aisle in what many are already calling “America’s Royal Wedding.”

How Did Travis Kelce Propose to Taylor Swift?

Details surrounding the couple’s engagement remain sparse. Perhaps she will let us in on the specifics as we get further into her engaged life, or maybe she’ll reveal some Easter eggs on her new album, Life of a Showgirl.

We do know a handful of things, however.

First, the proposal happened about two weeks before the world saw it on social media. Kelce’s father, Ed, spilled that piping hot tea with ABC 5 in Cleveland.

“I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off ’til this week to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event,” he shared. “And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event… when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”

Second — also per Mr. Kelce — we know that the big moment happened at the NFL tight end’s house in Lee’s Summit, Mo., in a garden.

“He got her out there, they were about to go to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,'” Ed elaborates. “They go out there and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful.”

“They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”

What Is Taylor Swift Planning for Her Wedding?

Swift is arguably the biggest thing in music right now and as a billionaire, it’s safe to say this wedding will be nothing short of massive and elaborate.

Oh, and star-studded.

Not only does she have some notable, big-name friends, but there are also many people who would kill to receive an invitation.

Only time will tell what the wedding will look like, but we went ahead and started brainstorming her musical entertainment. We compiled a list of artists we believe should serenade the couple with at least one song during the reception.

Kane Brown

Swift was at the Tight End University event her fiance held in Nashville this year. In addition to attending, she took the stage to perform at the Brooklyn Bowl. She didn’t expect to perform, but she joined Kane Brown during his performance and the two collaborated on her hit “Shake It Off.” Who wouldn’t want a repeat of that duet, especially at her wedding!

Lainey Wilson

Lainey Wilson and Taylor Swift shared a stage recently in Nashville during Travis Kelce’s Tight End University event. The two sang “Love Story” together much to the crowd’s delight. It’s not the first time the two have been spotted together – they posed for photos with Ella Langley at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards earlier this year. Seeing Wilson perform for Swift on the biggest day of her life would not be out of left field.

Colbie Caillat

In 2007, Caillat released her album Coco and it found its way into the hands of Swift, who quickly became a fan, not just of the music, but the artist behind those words. When writing her album Fearless, Swift reached out to Caillat for advice. Ultimately the two ended up doing the song “Breathe” together. Someone better get this woman a microphone at this wedding.

The Chicks

Swift was going through a lot when she was putting together her Lover album as her mother was battling cancer. She enlisted the help of The Chicks for her song “Soon You’ll Get Better” which is arguably the most vulnerable track on the project and the one that dealt with her mom’s health directly. She wouldn’t have asked just anyone to be a part of it, just like she wouldn’t do that for her big day.

Luke Bryan

While touring on her Red tour, Swift made a stop in Nashville for a handful of shows. All three were sold out and she gave the crowd what they were looking for. One of the country standouts she brought out on stage was Luke Bryan and the two sang a duet version of his hit “I Don’t Want This Night to End.” A repeat of that could be just the thing her wedding guests are looking for. Not to mention, Bryan is the life of any party!

Maren Morris

Maren Morris is a fan of Swift’s and it’s clear the feelings are mutual. Not only did Swift pull Morris on stage with her during her 1989 World Tour, she also invited her to be a part of one of her songs. Morris’ voice can be heard on a song called “You All Over Me” which was one of the six “From the Vault” tracks included on Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

Sugarland

Sugarland and Taylor Swift have a great history between them. They go way back. In fact, Swift co-wrote the song “Babe” with Pat Monahan from Train and then gave it to the duo to record for their 2018 album Bigger. She also sang backup vocals on the track. It’s the only song on the project that was not written by Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles so you know they’re big fans. It would be nice to see them serenade Swift when she walks down the aisle.

Chris Stapleton

There are very few artists – both in and out of country music – who are not fans of Chris Stapleton. Even though Swift had left country music by the time Stapleton was thrust into the spotlight, there’s a good chance the two crossed paths or had mutual acquaintances. Nashville is a small town after all. Swift enlisted the help of Stapleton on “I Bet You Think About Me” which was included on her Red (Taylor’s Version) album as a part of the “From the Vault” tracks.

Keith Urban

We love a Ketih Urban moment and while we would all love for him to perform at our own wedding, he could actually pop up at Swift’s. Urban took Swift out on the road with him in 2009 and she returned the favor to him when she asked him to be a part of her Fearless (Taylor’s Version) album not once, but twice. His voice is a part of “That’s When” and “We Were Happy.” Urban also saw a show on Swift’s Eras Tour, so you know he’s a fan!

Rascal Flatts

How could we not see Rascal Flatts perform at Swift’s wedding? Not only do they have some beautiful songs to capture the big day of love – not to mention some crowd-favorite sing-a-longs – the band was instrumental in putting her in the spotlight. They took Swift on the road when she was a young artist. She joined them for their Me and My Gang tour in 2006 after Eric Church was booted from the lineup. Swift even kept a diary about the trek.

Faith Hill

Faith Hill is a big part of Swift becoming a singer. It was a 2000 episode of Behind the Music on VH1 about Hill and her early career that inspired Swift to move to Nashville. After her foray into country music, the two connected and Hill was an ever-present mentor to the aspiring artist. We’re pretty sure Hill and her husband Tim McGraw will be on the guest list and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they sang a song to the happy couple.

Tim McGraw

Come one, this one is a no-brainer. If you’ve been a fan of Swift since the beginning, you are already singing the lyrics to “Tim McGraw.” Her famous name-drop in 2006 wasn’t just a way to get country fans’ attention, she and McGraw have formed a friendship and she’s also pals with his wife Faith Hill. Swift also asked McGraw to be a part of her song “Highway Don’t Care” which also features Keith Urban on guitar. McGraw attending her wedding feels like a must, but we want to see him with a microphone in his hands, too.

Kenny Chesney

Kenny Chesney has always had an affinity for Swift. The two formed a long-standing friendship when she was just getting her start in country music. In fact, he met her before she even signed a record deal. Later he would invite her to join him on tour, but because the tour was sponsored by a beer company and she was under the age of 18, she couldn’t fulfill her duties as an opener. Chesney took care of her though as he generously wrote her a big check to make up for the missed opportunity.
