SHE’S BACK! Karoline Leavitt makes grand return from maternity leave as she wades into Reflecting Pool saga in new interview
KAROLINE Leavitt has made a grand return from maternity leave – and was immediately thrown into Donald Trump’s troubled $14million Reflecting Pool revamp saga.
The 28-year-old White House Press Secretary has largely been out of the spotlight since late April after welcoming her second child with husband Nicholas Riccio, 60.
But on her first day back after seven weeks, Leavitt found herself defending the administration’s controversial renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
The project has been relentlessly dogged by claims of algae-filled water, peeling sealant and alleged vandal attacks.
Appearing on Fox News, Leavitt hit back at Trump critic Tim Walz after the outgoing Minnesota governor mocked the project online.
Walz wrote on X: “Found an imaginary problem, said only they could fix it, didn’t listen to experts, hired buddies who grifted millions, failed miserably, bragged how great it went. The entire Trump presidency in a nutshell.”
