However, the actress is already stepping back from the show after a weeks-long summer break.

Whoopi addressed her upcoming absence on the latest installment of The View‘s Behind the Table podcast with producer Brian Teta.

“We’re going to lose you for a couple of days,” Brian noted about the EGOT winner’s appearance on the morning show.

“You’re going to be gone over the next two weeks, but you’ll be here on Mondays,” he clarified.

The pair explained that Whoopi will be busy filming her upcoming Barack-Obama-produced Netflix film, Women Like Us, with Vivica A. Fox, and will therefore miss multiple broadcasts.

Brian mentioned that filming will be done nearby, so Whoopi won’t have to travel too far from the New York City set.

He also shared that Lisa Ling, Star Jones, Sherri Shepherd, and Debbie Matenopoulos will fill in for the host while she’s away.

Whoopi is typically off on Fridays, leaving just Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday when she’ll need a replacement.
