When Magnum, P.I. premiered in 1980, it quickly became the ultimate 1980s television fantasy. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Hawaii, the series combined thrilling mysteries, humor, action and unforgettable friendships.

At the center was Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum, joined by John Hillerman as the sophisticated and sharp-witted Higgins, Roger E. Mosley as the loyal T.C., and Larry Manetti as the charismatic Rick Wright.

But Magnum, P.I. was more than a detective series. Its greatest strength was the bond between its characters. Their friendship, loyalty and brotherhood gave the show a heart that audiences connected with for years.
