LUCAS BLACK’S REAL REASON FOR LEAVING NCIS: NEW ORLEANS IS REVEALED

In 2014, Lucas Black joined the cast of NCIS: New Orleans. For the first six seasons, he played senior agent Christopher LaSalle. Fans were shocked when he left the show in 2019, especially since his character was killed while looking into the death of his brother. Many people have asked the actor about his decision to leave, but it wasn’t until 2021 that he told the truth about why he was leaving.

Lucas told Lee Domingue on his podcast “Legacy Starts Today” that he quit NCIS: New Orleans because it was getting in the way of his time with his wife Maggie and their three kids.

Lucas said, “It was time, it was time for me to leave.” He said this after talking about how often he worked 70-hour weeks on NCIS: New Orleans. I thought my work there was done. You can’t keep going like that and have a healthy marriage, in my opinion. It’s not a good way to work, and if you keep going at that pace, something bad will happen.”

Lucas chose to leave, but he has said that being on the show was a “honour.” Soon after his character died, he posted a video on Twitter saying, “I want to say what an honor it was to play this character, Special Agent LaSalle.” He said, “That’s the end of the chapter. What a wonderful trip it was!”

After Lucas left the show, the 40-year-old actor went on to play Sean Boswell again in F9, which is the ninth movie in the Fast and Furious series. He also played a role in the movie Legacy Peak, which came out in 2022. He also works on his YouTube channel, Real Life Lucas Black, which is all about his hunting and fishing trips.
