Did you know that the Persian Gulf will become too hot for humans?
The dangers of climate change are evident, and the consequences are becoming more palpable and closer every day. According to a study carried out by Nature Climate Change , if global warming does not stop, the maximum temperatures could kill cities like Abu Dhabi , Dubai , Doha and Dharhan . It will be so hot that the human body will not be able to control the heat.

It’s the potentially deadly combination of heat and humidity that can pose a serious health risk to people in the Persian Gulf, where warm seawater and dry desert air are the main drivers of weather. Without access to air conditioning, workers like these Asian immigrants (above) who worked in Dubai are especially vulnerable to heat stroke or worse.
How hot is too hot?

Using current ground measurements coupled with climate models, MIT researchers Jeremy S. Pal and Elfatih AB Eltahir have concluded that the Persian Gulf will exceed that temperature threshold by the end of the 21st century. That means temperatures could rise to 74 to 77 degrees Celsius , but Eltahir said if future emissions of polluting gases are limited, that intolerable level of heat can be avoided.CategoriesDid you know?
