“FROM WINNER TO 100 MILLION VIEW GAMBLE?” — SYDNIE CHRISTMAS TAKES A RISK WITH HER FIRST ORIGINAL SONG! Just one year after winning Britain’s Got Talent, Sydnie Christmas unexpectedly changed the rules with her single “Run” — a song she bet would explode onto the rugby scene and reach tens of millions of streams. From television to the rugby field, Sydnie is embarking on a big game: releasing her first original album, aiming for a collaboration with Sam Ryder, and even hinting at a Eurovision dream. But the question keeping fans on edge is: will this shift lead to a leap to 100 million streams… or a painful fall after the spotlight?

SYDNIE CHRISTMAS has tried her hand at original music – and she hopes one song will become a rugby anthem.

The Britain’s Got Talent winner, who is a keen player of the sport, has just announced she will release track Run on April 17, following on from her debut album of covers, My Way, in 2024, the same year as her reality show victory.

Sitting down with Bizarre’s Jack on the set of the upcoming music video in central London, Syd said: “I’m really nervous but also very excited.

“I just want it to do well.

“For me it’s quite an anthemic track. My dream is for it to be played at the women’s rugby as I played that for years.

“You know, as the players walk out or maybe in a montage of the footage.

And she’s hoping to work on it with Eurovision runner-up Sam Ryder.

Sydnie added: “There is so much talent out there but honestly, I’d love to work with Sam. His voice is just amazing.
