LEGENDARY actress Catherine O’Hara has died at the age of 71.

The Home Alone and Schitt’s Creek star passed away on Friday, January 30, her manager confirmed in a statement to People.

The Los Angeles Fire Department told Page Six they responded to a call to her home at 4:48 a.m. local time.

She was transported to a local hospital in “serious” condition.

A cause of death has not yet been revealed.

O’Hara skipped the Golden Globes awards on January 11, despite receiving a nomination for Best Supporting Performance in a Female Actor for her role in the Apple+ series, The Studio.

Her nomination was announced in December, but it wasn’t clear why she didn’t attend the ceremony.

She was last seen in September 2025, posing on the red carpet with her husband, Bo Welch, at an Emmys bash.
