‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Casts ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ and ‘NCIS’ Alum Sasha Alexander as FBI Agent
Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer just added some serious firepower for Season 4. Sasha Alexander, known for her roles on Rizzoli & Isles and NCIS, has joined the hit legal drama in a recurring role as FBI Agent Dawn Ruth. Described as “no-nonsense” and “intimidating,” Agent Ruth won’t be knocking politely on any doors, that’s for sure. According to Netflix’s official character description, she and a colleague crash one of Mickey Haller’s dinners to deliver a thinly veiled threat: drop your FBI investigation… or face the consequences. As we know, that will put her squarely at odds with Manuel Garcia-Rulfo’s lead character, the slick defense attorney at the center of The Lincoln Lawyer, who is more used to dealing with courtroom drama than FBI pressure.
Created for television by David E. Kelley, The Lincoln Lawyer is based on the novels by Michael Connelly and follows Haller as he navigates high-profile cases from the back seat of his Lincoln Navigator, which is a difference from most of us, whose back seats are full of food wrappers and empty bottles.
Season 4 is set to adapt The Law of Innocence, a fan-favorite in the book series, and while Netflix hasn’t announced a premiere date for the new season, the series remains one of its top-performing legal dramas. Season 3 landed 7 million views within its first four days, hitting No. 2 on the English-language TV chart. Returning cast members include Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Yaya DaCosta. The show is now co-run by Dailyn Rodriguez and Ted Humphrey, who continue to oversee the legal thriller following its critical and commercial success.
